    Default Holiday Suggestions with a 6yo & an 18mo

Where would you recommend in Australia for a mid-year holiday with a 6yo (ds) and an 18mo (dd)? I'm thinking a 3 bedroom place would be a lot easier and we enjoy outside stuff, but we're happy to go & see inside places too (eg. museums/etc). We love the beach, but it doesn't need to be at the beach.

Any thoughts for a 7 - 10 night holidays for us? We went to the Gold Coast last year and so that's the only place I'd say no to

I can highly recommend Cairns. We have been twice and will be returning againt this year. I found it wonderful for young families and a nice relaxed vibe. We have stayed in Trinity Beach which we found well priced and then hired a car if we wanted go visiting. There is the Kuranda train experience, Green Island, Zoo, Cairns city with the Esplanade, Port Douglass to look at it.
