Default One Billion Rising - standing up against violence in a beautiful way!

Wow! Have you heard about this?

    http://onebillionrising.org/

On February 14, there are events in cities worldwide.

Feb 14, Federation Square, for Melbournites

Facebook pages galore for each event and city

including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Ireland, and heaps more

    And it's FUN!

They've made this anthem called Break the Chain and choreographed steps to it, you can learn some or all of the steps:

I hope all the people who stepped out for Jill Meagher will join this. Please share widely and if you can think of any journalists and people active in women's groups etc please let them know and get them on board.

The facebook page One Billion Rising Australia has some beautiful pics of men with signs saying why they are rising. And on the site is a youtube clip called A Man's Prayer - I challenge you to watch it without sobbing.

It's been a day of ups and downs - up: I nearly know the choreography for Break the Chain and it's so fun - and my 14 yo dd nearly knows it too. Down: stoopid farcebook banned me for "spamming and posting irrelevant content" - whaaat? I wasn't spamming, I was networking and the content (various links from OBR) were all highly relevant.
