My stepdad is Spanish and he says it is sul sah.
Speaking of MKR the first couple to cook - the ones that did the 70s theme - the wife said capsicuN.

DH drives me nuts the 2 main offenders are thunnel-web instead of funnel-web and v-double instead of b-double. No matter how many times I correct him he still does it.

That's the proper French pronunciation, but then it might have been anglicized

ETA I'll ask my friend who works there - lucky duck is having champagne every week!!
Wouldn't the Dutch pronunciation be more relevant?

I would love to hear how someone who works there has been taught!

I've just looked up 'salsa', and the online dictionaries are saying that "sall-sa" is the English pronunciation, and "sull-sa" is the American.

I'm guessing Australia follows the American pronunciation more closely...??

I've always said "sall-sa", but I'm from England.

    I say sal-sa. I've never heard anyone say sul-sa.

I thought of another one - 'pathers' instead of 'pavers'.

Oh good that makes me feel a bit better! I've never heard it called sull-sa either. Not even by the people who run the taco truck!
