Macaroons are a completely different type of sweet to macarons.

The mo-et vs mo-ay and cummin vs cue-min pronunciations have both been discussed earlier in the thread (along with explanations for both).

You just have to go back a loooong way

lol unfortunately, saying 'nek minnit' is a somewhat fad especially for boys... of all ages! About 6 months ago, I would hear it all the time and I kept saying to people 'what the eff is nek minnit?' I think people say it instead of 'next minute'. I actually saw a boy about 10 years old yesterday with NEK MINNIT on his t shirt!

One that irritates me is the voiceover guy on some of the movie preview ads on tv.

    The way he pronounces cinemas.

    "Only in cinemaahs". Like cin-e-marrs.

    Makes me cringe every time.

I think I'm an immature 10 year old boy at heart sometimes, as I find NEK MINNIT quite funny.

    I'm 33

I can't watch it without giggling.

    I'm 36
