    Default Safety Gates

We have a target brand safety gate at the moment but I am going out tomorrow to buy a new one after another toddler pushed my little man into the gate and it opened. He fell down the stairs :-( thankfully he didn't hurt himself badly. This is tge third time now that the gate has opened just with a little force being put on it. It scared the c**p out of me so I'm determined now to buy the best gate I can to hopefully prevent this from happening again.

Can anyone recommend a really good gate? I'm not fussy on what features it has or doesn't have as long as it is really safe.

(As mentioned it is for the top of a flight of stairs.)

    TIA

    Default Safety Gates

I've been using The Dream-baby gates. They come in two different heights and widths (there are extensions you can buy). the ones I have are pressure mounted.

My DS (16mths)rattles and leans on the gates all the time and I've been really pleased with how solid and secure they are. I find them easy to open one handed but they do seem to stump my dad and MIL - neither of them can ever manage to open them!

I bought mine second hand off gumtree but I think Toys R Us/Babies R Us sells them, and maybe bunnings?
