Can I join ? After 3 babies (all c/secs,my poor belly) chemo (where lucky me I actually ballooned in weight, steroids in my chemo cocktail oh joy) and 10 surgeries in the last 3 years,I ballooned to 96.3kg but I've got myself back down to 68/69ish kgs and my goal is 57 which is where I am happiest and bmi and bf % wise.

DD2 was diagnosed ASD a few months back and is a handful so I've sort of slacked off but we just moved interstate and now that we're here Im ready to get this last hunk of weight off.

Bought myself a polar watch today

Pennylane - what a journey for you to date. How inspirational to go through something as scary as chemo and come out swinging!!

PS - I'm sooooo envious of the polar watch!!

Good luck to everyone with their weight loss journeys! You are all amazing, and I know you can do it! I don't want to impose, but I wanted to share my story with you all, if that's ok?

About 2 years ago I was a size 12 at 67kgs (167cm tall). I have a TINY frame (think: washboard chest, bony arms etc), so for me this was quite overweight. Plus, I carried it all on my waist, so it was dangerous.

All I ate was Italian and Indian takeout, and I had a desk job which saw me sitting on my butt all day long.

I decided I wanted to change, so I started clean eating and brisk walking for 30 minutes per day.

After a few months, the clean eating thing became my regular diet. I still had treats when I felt like it, but instead of a family sized block of Dairy Milk, I had a Milky Way. I started to feel slimmer and healthier and less bloated. I started to want to exercise more, too!

I started the c25k program, and even though it took me months instead of weeks, I finished it! At around the same time, I also changed jobs to one which saw me on my feet and walking around all day.

The difference these small changes made is astounding. If I eat takeout more than once in a couple of days, I feel disgusting. If I am served a massive meal at a cafe or restaurant, I literally CAN'T finish it. If I go too long without moving, I crave a good jog. My body actually ASKS me for healthy food and exercise, and because I'm not silencing it with chocolate, I hear it.

These days I am a 49kg size 6. I am one size smaller than I would like to be, but I've been to doctors and Dietitians and they agree that this is my natural healthy size.

All I really wanted to say, was that you can do it! Even if you have more to lose than I did, any loss is better than a gain when you are overweight.

Wowsa!! Well done ... Size 6 sounds so tiny (as does 49kg) but you look so healthy and trim in your after pic. It's amazing how different heights and weights can mean dress sizes in people.

I weighed myself again this morning and I'm 65.7kg so another 0.2kg less then yesterday but this is a habit I need to break so for here on I'm going to make Sunday my weigh in day.

So I'm officially started this journey at 65.7kg - hopefully that number will become less as the weeks go by.

What's everyone up to today?? I'm having a housework day but I'm going to hit the gym for an hour of cardio- treadmill, bike and cross trainer.

Breakfast for me was rolled spelt grain made on water with half a banana, blueberries and natural Greek yoghurt. Yummo!!

I have about 30kgs.to drop! Thanks to 4 years of bad habits.
Have been snacking less and trying to have a decent breakfast these last 2 weeks and have started walking (about 30mins a day).

Need to get serious about a healthy eating plan as soon as these holidays finish ha ha

I have a bad habbit of weighing myself daily as well. It's so disappointing when the scales don't budge or go back up. I set myself the offical weigh in day of Tuesday as that's the day i started my weightloss mission. I should stick with it.

As for today, at some point i will get up and out of bed.lol.
Green smoothie of baby spinach leaves, banana and some frozen mixed berries will be breakfast.
Lots of house work to get this pigsty back in order is my mission today. Then getting my treadmill set up so i can start exercising tomorrow.
