Default Does anyone have a cleaner come in?

Our house is a pig pen to say the least! I also have no excuse as I don't work, I just hate cleaning. But I couldn't get a cleaner in. I'd just feel too weird about having somebody in our house.
My parents had a guy come once a fortnight when I was living there and I'd hide in my bedroom the whole morning lol!

Catrules I feel the same way but I'm going to try it. If I don't feel comfortable I will just stop having them come around.. Will only employ a lady too hopefully that helps with not feeling awkward about it.

I also would like to know why people's partners object? Is it they see it as a waste of money because u could do it yourself? My dh has been pushing me to get one so I don't have to worry about it. I get stressed if the house is a mess.. Have enough to worry about so if I can take one thing out then he wants me to..

He says that we should do it ourselves. He is not lazy by any means, he does a lot around the house. I absolutely hate it, and financially I am going to have to go back to work full time soon, so I will definitely be getting one then. He will be told, and I will stand my ground!! Haha.

I've tried 4 cleaners and none of them did a very good job (unless I am really fussy?) and none of them would use my Enjo products so I just do it myself, I don't mind doing it but I prefer not having too lol.

We pay $15 an hour. (I pay her even if she doesn't work though)

That's her price and she refused a raise.

I have a key but just do 1 place atm. They are family members so its different. If they are home they just move to another room or outdoor table while I do it so they aren't in the way.

They were going to look for a cleaner and would have given out a key but said they would pay me if I wanted to do it. Its win win.

Yeah I know! We have had her for over 3 years now. Recommended to us by a friend who has her everyday for an hour.

We used to have her for 6 hours a week when DD was a baby, I think that's why she charged so little but everytime we have tried to up her pay she gets offended, so we just pay her when she is sick or wants time off too.

Sorry I'm in tas. I'd post and ad on gumtree or similar. Word of mouth really is the best, as you know your getting someone you can trust to leave alone in your house. I've had a friend who has has a woeful time finding someone who doesn't slack off (mine wont take on anyone else).

I have a great lady that comes every Friday. Nothing better than a clean house for the weekend :-)

Anyone know a cleaner in Brisbane worth using?
PM me flipflop, I know a great one :-) I get her in every week.
