    Nice handsoap! My hands got so dry after washing after every nappy change.

    Ditto the water bottle. One that is opened with one hand and seals easily to avoid spillage! I have a Contigo and love it because it's also easy to clean and holds a lot of water!

    I was given a 365 day journal from Kikki K (although needed 366 days!) but it was such a wonderful gift and an easy journal to keep. I bought nice pens and pencils and recorded daily events and milestones but, if I didn't have much to say, I'd scribble a picture or a few words only or write something like "when I found out I was pregnant...". My book was completed last weekend and it is so very special. And the Kikki K Facebook page gives ideas on things to write if you're having a nothing day.

    I think I would have just loved some food! I love the snack ideas, I know I did a lot of that at 1 3 5 and 7am while feeding bub in hospital

    Chocolate can be a bit constipating, so not really what you want after you've had a baby!
    Some other snacks would be great, though.

    Prunes! Seriously! Those pain killers make you so constipated, last thing you need. And I second the chap stick and nice hand cream. Maybe some comfy undies too? Have fun! You're a wonderful sister

    Some wonderful ideas here, great thread!

    I would also include pear juice for the same reason given for prunes.

    Some nice soft bed socks - my feet were always cold.
