    Default Potato bake, powdery spuds.

    Hi All!

Made a potato bake last night, something I've done on several occasions. The sauce was delicious and I was happy with that (made from scratch).

    But, the potatoes tasted powdery?

The only thing I can guess is that I purchased the wrong potatoes.

So what potatoes do you use for a potato bake?

I've never picked a certain variety, just what ever is there and this is the first time I've had this issue.

    Thanks!

I usually just buy the normal ones that u scrub and peel. but i find the trick is to slice them extremely thinly

Hey lovely I made potato bake the other night and used Carisma potatoes from Coles (they sell them in the bags). They didn't taste powdery at all and a few of the slices were a bit thick
