Default 38+ pregnant and asked to babysit?

Does anybody else think this is rude or am I over reacting?

My SIL is also pregnant and 6 weeks behind me. She had 3 boys ( full on ) ages from 3 to 9 with two still in Nappies. She asked me to babysit last week at last minute and I only agreed because I felt pressured. Yet she never turned up and messages me an hour and a half later with a pathetic excuse.

She has now just messaged me asking to have them tomorrow morning and to be honest I really feel exhausted and don't feel like a household rowdy boys when I have my own child to mind on my own ( husband is away). However I feel pressured again! What should I say?

    No, you're busy and unavailable.

No way I'd be asking anyone to babysit when they're so close to their due date!

Thankyou for the advice . I might just tell her I'm exhausted, I really can't handle her kids on a normal day let alone right now!!

Another thing also my husbands ship is coming into port tomorrow morning. I would like to go down with our daughter and watch the ship roll in it's special to us I don't really want that interrupted either.

I could think of nothing worse that putting up with someone else's little turds and I'm not even pregnant. I think she's either daft or selfish to ask that of you.

I agree with pp: say it will be you last chance to do XYZ before bub comes.

Say you have an appointment that can't be missed. She doesn't need to know that it is with yourself.

I find that people will keep asking/ trying to convince if you are 'just tired' etc, but don't ask anymore if you have an 'appointment'.

    Just say your busy

I think it's so rude asking someone who is about to have a baby to babysit 3 kids

Say that! It's an important thing for you, she can find someone not pregnant to look after her boys.
