    Default 12 month vaccinations

I'm after some advice and wondering if anyone else has had trouble with the 12 month vaccination.
My bubba has had a cough for a month now. She got it the day after she was vaccinated.
It only comes at night. It's horrible!
She wakes every hour or two every night coughing until she can clear her throat and cough up the built p mucus.
We have tried everything we can think of.
Cough mixture, vaporiser, been to the doctors and had medicine, raised her bed, stopped dairy.
We just don't no what to do now.
Was thinking of going to a naturopath.
Just hate seeing her like this.
    Very turned off vaccinations!!!

Sorry, but what makes you so sure the cough is due to a vaccination?? Just because she got the cough around the same time it doesn't mean the two are related. Correlation isn't equal to causation. I'm sorry your little one isn't well but I very much doubt it's due to a vaccination. Have you taken her to the doctor?

Also, looking at the schedule for the 12 month shots, the only one with a possible side effect of a slight cough is the MMR shot, and this typically presents 5-12 days after the injection.

Just a thought, I'm not sure what the cough sounds like, but there is a lot of whooping cough around, and some people only struggle with it at night. If she's been vaccinated for this it may be a mild case of that?
Also, when I was a kid I remember having a persistent cough for months. Eventually it was found there was a leaking pipe in my wall and the damp and mould was causing it.
There are so many things that can cause a cough- allergies, asthma, infections, environmental factors are all known causes. Vaccines, generally, are not known causes. I really think, if you haven't done so, you should see your GP first off as a month long cough must be tough on your little one.

Yes it is- but as I said in my pp, usually takes 5-12 days to present. OP said this one started one day after the injections.

I didn't even think you could give cough medicine till 2?!

I'd just use the vaporizer and baby Vicks on chest, back and feet with socks on.

    Thanks or the thoughts guys.
I've been to the doctors a couple of times for the cough and was given Medicine for it, But it just hasn't seemed to work.

I'm going to go again tomorrow just wanted to ask some advice from other mummy's first as I don't really like medicine.

Myself and the doctor said that it would be a reaction to the vaccine but I'm not totally sure, don't no what to think.

She is a really healthy child normally. Has only ever had two colds and an ear infection.

Have tried to eliminate all environment factors, cleaned the room from top to bottom.

I use a herbal cough medicine that the chemist and the doctor suggested and I do use a Vicks like cream just one without the chemicals.
    It really is a mystery.
I'm thinking of trying a homeopath next.

Try a naturopath, DS has been seeing one regularly since he was 6 months old, she can at least try find the cause of the cough and give you other remedies to try , good luck

I too would be suspicious of the vaccine. A homeopath sounds like a good option - homeopaths have remedies for vaccine damage and illnesses that come on after vaccines. Quite common really. I hope you get to the bottom of it. Good to get it sorted before too much time goes by.
