    Default urgent help needed!!

    Ok ..
    I work in a very customer focused job. It also has a zero drugs and alcohol policy ,due to us being directly in control of customer safety.

    So one of my friends has turned up to work drunk. Not just hungover but slurring words and stinking of alcohol.

    this person is in charge of helping people that are special need.


    I have told the person to just go home sick, laughed at me...


    What would you do???

    Tell them to leave if they didn't call my boss and tell them what's going on. I wouldn't let them stay and work, let the next person above you handle it b

    Friend or not if she were one of my employees and was in charge of looking after people and she was drunk I would send her home and probably sack her unless she had a very very good reason for coming to work this way - imagine your child was to be looked after by this drunk woman!!
    I would ask her again to go, call her a taxi even then have no choice but to tell a supervisor

    confession.

    this happened this morning and i told the supervisor.. I am a mess over it. I feel awful and wanted to see if others would do the same.

    I was given a 15 minute break as i was shaking! I think well no I know this person has a problem.

    Ishty you did the right thing. As someone else said imagine if your nan or child was supposed to be assisted. She really has no excuse for turning up to work like that.
