Default 5 month old constantly moving - what am I in for?

Apart from when he's asleep, DS moves and wriggles constantly. He flaps his arm and kicks his legs while BF, lifts his legs a million times in his bed, always waves his arms around without a second's rest no matter what he's doing, whether he's happy, sad, tired, whatever. He never relaxes into a cuddle and is always pushing away so he can look around and squirming. Is this normal? Or am I in for a VERY active toddler?!

I have a 6 month old son who is the same! ALWAYS moving! Although he does like a good cuddle. I'm not sure if its normal because this is my first so I'm sorry I'm no help! I would assume that some babies are more active than others.

Very normal! I'd be worried if a baby just sat there motionless all the time, though some are possibly a bit more fidgety than others. My niece is pretty chilled out compared to my kids, but even still, she is constantly moving, perhaps just slower and smaller.

DS1 was similar. He is now 3 and while he is a wiggly guy, he does snuggle in for a cuddle now.

My DS is the same. He is 1 now and will only give very brief cuddles, hates to be held and is always on the go! I often wonder whether he will mellow a bit

My DS is the same!! He does love a cuddle, but is the biggest sticky beak and is always moving! It's crazy. He is underweight but the best little eater/bf'er and the nurse said its because he is just so active! God help us when they are older... Might be the best thing for me to lose some baby weight anyway!!
