    Default I hate dinner time!

Anyone else have a fussy child? It's pathetic I have tried everything but nothing seems to work.

My daughter who is 5 in march causes such a scene at the dinner table I don't want to cook!

I have succeeded in getting her to get chicken ( breast only and all brown bits must be cut off ) but it's still only a bout a teaspoon size of chicken that she is eating.

Foods she may ( note may ) eat are:

    Cheese
    Capsicum
    Peas and corn
Hot chips. Cannot be mashed potato or anything other that chips.

    Seriously had enough!

I said your exact words tonight! DS1 is 2 next month. He will be good with food for a few weeks then he will be horrible! He will eat something one night then flat out refuse it next time. Dinner can be such a struggle.

Yep!! I'm thinking of Getting a referral to a nutritionist or something of the sort. However I'm convinced it's in her mind. He will start gagging before she has even tried the damn food.

Maybe make dinners look cool on the plate? Like make faces out of food etc. Things to make it fun.

What about involving her in dinner. Being creative and letting her feel a part of the dinner making process. It might entice her enough to try more foods as she helped make them?

Tried all of the above lol. Really think its a food anxiety issue. Just at my wits end. I have tried everything and seem to be getting no where.

My kids are the same. I always feel so guilty when you read those ' what's for dinner ' threads. My two basically eat snack stuff and pasta and cereal . I know it's more than your daughter . Our typical day is :

Wake up , no water until they have had there freshly made carrot and apple juice and a fish oil capsule( if they at least have this I don't worry so much) . Then they may have weetbix. Later cheese and crackers . Then maybe an ice lolly and if I'm lucky some pasta for dinner but not much.

I'm starting to think its normal . I hear of it all the time from parents so I'm not worrying so much. They poo and wee and they are healthy.

I guess you have to look at that as your guidance . If they are thin and not well quite often I would seek future advise bit if they are well , pooing and weeing and well 95% o the time I would relax , I know it's fustrating , I regularly roll my eyes and take the food they don't want to our chickens and wonder why I bothered !
