Poo once a day is normal (my DS2 is on Bellamy's as well) at that age and it can be dirty green, really soft and really stinky.

My MCHN told me it's the iron in the formula but he never got constipated at all while on Bellamy's. Sometimes the poo is mustardy in colour.

Now that we have started on solids, his poos can still be dirty green or mustardy but more paste-like consistency (sorry TMI).

Wow! I thought I was the only one struggling to figure out if this was normal! My son as been on Bellamy's since birth (six weeks ago) and his poop was "normal" (ie khaki and "like play-doh") for the first four weeks but in the last couple of weeks, they've turned dark green and incredibly soft and at times runny. The only difference has been the amount of formula he's taking. He too is putting on lots of weight and is otherwise healthy.

How do we know if it's OK??

Bellamy poo was green from the start (3mths) till solids were well established here - so normal
If you are unsure you can take a pooey nappy into your GP for them to check out
