DD dropped to 1 nap around 11mths. She started fighting her afternoon nap - would just lie in her cot and not sleep, or would get upset and want to stay up. I just slowly moved her morning nap later by making sure we were out doing something fun in the morning until 11ish, then home for lunch and nap. It was an easy transition for us and she coped well within a week or two.

Oh, but we made sure when we went out in the morning it was close to home to minimize the chances of her falling asleep in the car on the way home! (and gave her something to snack on to keep her awake for the car ride).
