    Default MCN & newborns

Does anyone have experience with modern cloth nappies at birth ? Good, bad, what fit and what didn't?
Should I buy a specific newborn size? Or will my baby beehinds multi fits and bamboo fitteds be small enough?
    Please share your experiences!
    TIA :-)

I have used rumparooz OSFM inserts from birth with no issue - amazing totally love them.

I also have flannette and terry towelling flats that I found hopeless on NB.

And I also have BBH hemp snap ins that need covers - I haven't tried them yet. keep meaning too actually thanks for the reminder.

We have a bunch of one size fits all MCN nappies but haven't used them yet (my little ripple brand). Our DS has such a skinny little butt and slim hips that they don't fit him yet. He's just a long lean little boy! He's 10 weeks old and nudging 62 cms (was born 52) and is only about 4.6kgs.

We'll try them on him again in a couple of weeks and hopefully have more success! I'm looking forward to using them

    Default MCN & newborns

I got some cheap one size fits all mcns online and haven't had any problems. I did start using them at about 2 weeks old, I wanted the meconium to clear first and waited till I was well settled in at home. Also just a side note, incase anyone else has the same problem, my DD suffered really bad nappy rash for about 2 months until I stopped using detergent (earths choice) and started washing the nappies just on a hot cycle (rinse first) and hanging them in the sun.

I used prefolds and newborn covers for the first few weeks. Found it much easier and quicker than stuffing OSFM(and less bulky).

I used cloth nappies exclusively for the first 6 months from birth, a mixture of mcns and terry towelling/bamboo. Never had a problem with either. My favourites were the Greenkids one size and the BBH bamboo one size (with a cover). There's way more available on the market now than when I got mine 4 years ago, and both brands as well as others do newborn sizes as well, but I found the one-size were fine for my 3kg nb. Looked a bit big and bulky for a while, but they were effective. I'll be using them again for this one.

I used terry cloth + woolly covers from birth but I don't think mcns would be a problem either, going to try them this time around. I love itti bittis.
