Default Tell me about your chemical pregnancy

I'm 10pd5dt and only got my first faint positive yesterday. The line is still really faint today. I suspect it's a chemical pregnancy. Blood test is tomorrow but I know my levels are low.

Anyone care to share their experience,

It might not be? You could have a late implanter? Is that test the first one you have done?

I've had 3 and all were faint positives by 5d5dt and the line got darker. With two the hcg was about 40 and 50 by blood test at about 14/15dpo so they said it could go either way and it decreased over a few days.

The third was the same but the hcg went up over the first week to about 400 but then started to drop.

You really won't know till the blood test, they will be looking for around 100 but just remember its not just the first reading it's the doubling time.

Hope it is a Bfp for you.

Thanks for sharing your story clementine.

It's not over till its over, but I know things aren't looking good. With my DD I had a strong line 8dp3dt, so that's why I think this one is probably not viable. But I'm still keeping everything crossed!!

I haven't gone through IVF or a chemical pregnancy, but I will say that I got very different BFP's with my 2 pregnancies. My ds's positive was strong from the start and my dd's positive was faint for the first 3 - 4 days (I couldn't convince myself it was any darker for many days) and then it got darker. As for HCG levels they do vary from pregnancy to pregnancy and it's not the actual value that matters, it's whether it increases or not that matters.

Hope it's good news for you

Got official blood tests results back, not surprising they were negative. I had poas that morning and the line was completely gone so I wasn't surprised.

I was devastated today to find out my hcg had dropped from 53 to 9. I was so excited to see two lines on the urine preg test for the first time in five years. Started bleeding day after the positive urine test. The bleeding got heavier over the next 2-3 days and I knew it would be a negative. The clinic reassured me on Thursday when I had a hcg of 53 but I had a horrible feeling which was confirmed today. Worst part was that ten minutes after I got the call, I had 30 guests arrive for a planned Australia Day party. I had to pull myself together but my initial thought was 'how will I deal with seeing other pregnant women and other couples with children?' I pulled myself together and was proud of my effort. I work as an obstetric registrar ( I am 2 years away from wing an obstetrician), and despite the fact I live my job, I find it very hard seeing pregnant women all day, especially those who are not looking after themselves.

Bella I am so, so sorry it's so awful.

I've had 3 in a row and I know how hard it can be. You need to give yourself time to get over the loss. You will feel better in time, but it usually has to hurt first
