Default Bws - beckwith wiedemann syndrome

    Hi everyone,

I'm a first-time mum from Melbourne and I have a now one-year-old son who was diagnosed with a rare genetic syndrome at six weeks of age. 2012 saw me battle his health problems, post-natal depression and my struggles to be a better mother. I decided in 2013 to embrace more positive things in my life.

I've had some amazing responses from people who have experienced amazing things on their own journeys in becoming mothers, and so I'm just putting more of myself out there in the hope that my raw honesty helps others to be honest with themselves too. We're all doing a bloody hard job but we are also doing a bloody awesome job too!

    Default Same position.

Hi I know this is an old thread but was wondering if anyone would like to meet up or chat? I have a 3 month old who isn't officially diagnosed yet but geneticists are only testing for bws at this stage as that is what they think he has. Would love to chat to other parents and find out more about their personal experiences.
