Default can the mirena give a false positive

I took a test today and it came up positive. the line was faint (compared to DD's one) but nether the less I'm sure it's there!

I have had the mirena for almost 1 year now... Had some spotting at the start, no period until oct/ November -cant remember when now. (I went to drs because it was "clotty") dr said it was my period and you can sometimes get it.

Anyway, the past 2 weeks, I been sooo nauseated and have vomited a fair few times, my boobs are sore/tender, and are slightly larger.
I have awful pimples (Don't normally have any! Only had them when pregnant last time!)

So yeah, is it a positive? Or a false positive! Little stumped lol

Also don't want to rush to the drs because, I don't want to look like a weirdo, saying I'm pregnant, but iv got the mirena lol

    Thanks xx

No I don't think so. There is a recent post about a woman falling pregnant with the mirena in.

Have you tested again today to see if line is darker ? All contraceptives have the possibility of failing at some point so I wouldn't be all that surprised if you were utd

You should go to dr though just in case

I've heard of a friend of a friend getting pregnant on mirena, but apparently it had fallen out?

I had sex, had mine removed a few days later and fell pregnant. Your meant to have protected sex for 2 weeks before you get it removed.

my guess would be you are pregnant. I have a 1 year old concieved with implanon in , it is meant to be very reliable and apparently I was the only person the doctor has seen who got pregnant and it was in correctly. so maybe a bub for you rather than a false pos.
