So potpourri is clearly not a winner- who uses other things- diffusers, scented candles, etc? I hate all of them, would much rather open all the windows and have the house smell of fresh air.

Me too, I open the front door and get a lovely fresh breeze through the house. I have bad asthma though so any type of air freshened or candles make me wheezy!

No, it always strike me a just another thing that will collect dust. And I don't like candles because I just know I will burn or house down - lots of timber to act as kindling in this house.

I love soy candles, I want to buy a kit and start making my own! I hate all the diffusers and sprays because they all smell so artificial to me

I love good old fresh air too - one of my favourite things to do in the morning is throw open the house.

I do also like a really nice scented candle. I find even when they aren't burning that can give a subtle fragrance to a room.

Generally fresh air, but I like scented candles too - as long as they're spicy/ vanilla rather than floral

I use scented candles occasionally but generally just open the house up to air out :-)
