That's great Erin, it's funny when I was reading all my instructions for my cycle it wasn't on there. I can't understand why they wouldn't have it written there so there is no confusion. I can imagine it would be easy for the FS to forget to tell you or write on the script not to take the sugar tablets.

Default Contraceptive pill prior to start of IVF treatment

I had the same question too in my first cycle.
Along with not having a period while on the pill (will that wreck my cycle) and then the withdrawal bleed (has that wrecked my cycle?). I think doing Ivf is such a huge thing that you want everything spelt out in big letters so that you don't stuff it up. Good luck. Hope it's a sticky one for you.

Default Contraceptive pill prior to start of IVF treatment

Appy, my reason for actually wanting to take the inactive pills is I wanted to have a natural period as my previous one had been at the end of an IVF cycle and it was really light. I share your concern about impacting natural cycles! Oh well, hopefully this will be my successful round and I won't have to worry about this again!

Default Contraceptive pill prior to start of IVF treatment

    Hi Girls
I'm on day 5/18 of the pill before I can start sniffing, any wonder its called the agonist cycle! it's so agonisingly slow!!
How long did it take any if you to get your withdrawal bleed from the pill while you we're sniffing? Thanks on advance

So glad to hear Erin! With IVF there is so much information and all you want to do is make sure you're doing everything right! Hopefully this will be your cycle! 13 days til I start jabbing :S

Hi it sounds more like a down reg cycle like I'm doing and I may be wrong but I think it's around 7 days after you stop taking the pill. I start jabbing on the 22nd and they expect that I will get AF on or around the 30th when I start my second lot of injections. Hopefully someone will be able to confirm but HTH
