Talking Phase 1: 8 week Baby, start 8 week Challenge

My DS has reached 8 weeks and I feel like an elephant. My legs are starting to work properly again and I really need to start shoving this weight off me.

So I've decided to do an 8 week challenge and I invite one and all to join, don't be shy. I know it is before NYE but to be honest there is never a good time to loose weight so starting now is as good a time as any. I'm going to do it with exercise and food. During my pregnancy I had problems with exercise because of my legs and like most pregnancies yr a little down so you eat every comfort food you can find.

    So go, go samken

    Here is my beginning:

    HEIGHT: 174cm
    WEIGHT STARTING: 95.2kg
    WEIGHT TODAY: 95.2kg
    TOTAL LOSS:
    % LOSS:
    GOAL WEIGHT (est 500g / week): 91.2kg

    MEASUREMENTS:
    Start Bust: 117cm
    Today Bust: 117cm

    Start hips: 119.5cm
    Today hips: 119.5cm

    Start Waist: 119cm
    Today Waist: 119cm

    Start upper thighs: 66.5cm
    Today upper thighs: 66.5cm

    Start upper arms: 34cm
    Today upper arms: 34cm

    CHALLENGES:
    PHYSICALLY:
I need to walk 30 minutes every day, minimum.

MENTALLY: OK, If I every feel I'm losing the incentive I just need to go sit in front of a mirror or visit a shopping centre.

How you feel about this weeks loss:

Good luck! Like you I'm determined to lose the baby weight as well. I'm up 8kg's on my pre preg weight and bub is 5 months old so it's time.
I also thought about the NYE thing and thought I should wait, but I always put it off and after trying on some clothes last week I left the change rooms in tears and something just clicked. My mind was made up and so I'm now on day 3 of my healthy eating plan and actually enjoying this journey so far!
All the best for you and your journey

    Welcome Plexus Solaire and Penelopee

Glad you could join me and I think you are very brave Penelopee to take up running. It is really hard this week because of the celebrations going on but I kept the walking up and I hoped this would offset it. Now I'm home and there isn't going to be anyone to tempt me except DH.

Good luck everyone for next week.

I've done pilates previously with equipment and instructor after DD was born so I'm lashing out for a pilates mat and there are millions of exercises on the internet to keep me entertained for 60 minutes each day. So toning here I come.

Welcome lachsmummy and well done samken on the 400gm loss, that's awesome

I will be weighing in every Monday morning, I felt like I was doing well until today. I must admit I had McDonald's for lunch and pasta for dinner. I also missed my run today. Now I feel very guilty (why doesn't the guilt come while eating!!). We've spent the day at hospital with family so that's my excuse for today.

Back at it tomorrow, better eating and treadmill.

Hope I've lost some weight tomorrow even with my binge today. Fingers crossed x
