Long story - I'm halfway through first year nursing as an external student, doing it part time. I've just been diagnosed with a chronic condition which so far seems to be really affecting me. The uni have been super supportive but I'm not sure I'm going to make it through the nursing placements. I've been looking into maybe changing degrees - social work perhaps, but I don't know much about that as a career, whereas I've worked as a pca before so have a fair idea of what the workload is for nursing, especially in aged care. Are there any social workers/students here who can give some insight please?
