Default I am 43 and just found out I am pregnant, are there any other older mums around

I had all but given up, I have had a previous miscarriage, then tried IVF and IUI over the years without success and cried many tears. Lately I have been focusing on my health and really ramped up my exercise as I had decided if children were not going to happen then I would dedicate my life to travelling, I dropped 10kg, (still need to lose more than that).

Any way I was late this month, about to have a night drinking and had some spare tests so I took a test, I nearly fell over, I was in shock, it was positive. It has been 3 days since the test, and every time I go to the toilet i expect to see blood but nothing not even a tiny drop. Last time when i was pregnant i spotted a lot and then eventually miscarried at 8 weeks.

I know it is very early days and the statistics are scary, I have something like a 35% chance of miscarrying because of my age, so I would really like to hear how some of you other older ladies have got on who are either pregnant or been pregnant.

    Hi
I had my last child at 40 and she's now 2. I don't plan on having any more though. My family have quite a history of late pregnancies. I was very blessed with no conception issues or carrying pregnancies.

    Welcome!!

My mum was 40 when she had me and 43 when she had my little sister. We are now 20 and 23 and perfectly healthy.

Hoping for a totally boring 9 months of pregnancy for you!
