Riss I'm sure she has, I went to see her last year and she asked how I found her. I told her I googled ivf specialists online and she sounded like the best, i read she was very thorough which I was looking for. I also told her she had a following on bubhub, but she wasn't as popular on here as she is now lol!

Welcome broken hearted.. I'm so sorry to hear what you have been through. Lynn is amazing and you are definitely in the best hands. I too am in my late 30's with a low AMH of 4.5. Clomid didn't work for me and after 4 months Lynn recommended we go straight to IVF. We had our first cycle last month and I got my BFP.. I'm almost 6 weeks I wish you all the best. I found whenever I was down, the minute I spoke to Lynn my hope and positivity returned. She's the best! I've done acupuncture the whole way through and its helped relax me like never before. Also, just remember its quality and not quantity. I only had 3 follicles on the scan, Lynn collected 8 eggs and 2 fertilized. 1 made it to 3DT and the other one didn't make it.. So it really does only take 1..

Thank you lovely ladies for the warm welcome and your kind words...you are all so wonderful . Thanks for the reassurance too. I admire your strength and positivity.
juniper74 – I have been trying TCM and acupuncture for the last 3 months but that did not make a difference. Therefore, I wanted to try a practitioner that has had success with this before. I am happy for you to send me details of the lady you are seeing for consideration. I hope things work out for you next week.
Riss78 – I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your baby boy recently and I hope you are also receiving lots of love and support from family and friends to help you deal with your loss. I hope you find your happiness soon. Thank you so much for the details of the TCM centre. It helps me work out who you’re seeing. Is he very good?
JJTiger – I was falling pregnant fairly quickly on my own but since the clomid and IVF there has been nothing. Hopefully, Lynn can give me hope too. Congratulations on you BFP!!! You must be overjoyed. It’s such an exciting time and so you should thoroughly enjoy it.

I haven't been posting much lately, but still log in regularly and read new posts. I did 6 stim cycles at MIVF with 2 different specialist and haven't had success. Then I switched to Monash and Lynn, started seeing Richard and did some minor changes to my lifestyle. With Richard I did weekly acupuncture and herbs for nearly 4 months prior to cycling. This cycle has been the best for us, we transferred 2 embryos (both took) and for the first time were able to freeze one blasty. It's difficult to say which part contributed to our success most, but combined effort of Richard, Lynn and the Monash team made a difference for us. I've had a rough pregnancy so far and am still seeing Richard. I would definitely recomend him. I have a great respect for him and feel that his treatment has had a big part in my success.
Feel free to ask as many questions as you have. Good Luck!

Your story gives me hope. After the 4 failed cycles at MIVF and all that I've been through, I was starting to wonder if it is ever to work out for us and was starting to feel like it was the end of the road. It's nice to know that others have been in a similar situation and have gone on to have success and so I now feel a renewed sense of optimism. I am sorry to hear that you are having a rough pregnancy. Hang in there and stay positive. Your little darlings will be in your arms sooner than you know it and you will be over the moon. Best of luck with the remainder of your pregnancy!

I need some opinions from the lovely ladies here. Yesterday when I picked up my meds and went through the treatment plan I ticked that I wanted two embryos transfers as per normal but my nurse said Lynn has suggested only one. This wasn't discussed at my appointment with her. When I asked why, she said it would be because of what has happened with the last pregnancy, a twin pregnancy will have more complications. Obviously I understand the risks involved but in the two times I have fallen pregnant only 1 embryo stuck. I always felt putting in two would increase the chances of it working. The nurse said we can always sign a consent form to go against medical opinion but i'm not sure. What would you girls do in this situation?

Riss, when we decided we were going to do ivf a few weeks ago, i started looking for info to educate myself about all the ins and outs. one of my best friends is currently pregnant with IVF twins so i was thinking about the idea of "1 or 2 embryos'. i was thinking initially that maybe 2 was a good idea, & that both my OH & i are ok with the idea of twins. But then I listened to a really great podcast that was all about single embryo transfer and why it is the best option for every couple regardless of age. If you have an iPhone, search 'ivf' in the podcast app and its under the organisation called 'creating a family'. The podcast itself is called 'single embryo transfer'. I dont know what ur specific situation is or why the nurse mentioned 'high risk', but this podcast really told me alot that i didn't know or hadn't thought about. It's really informative and might help you to make an informed decision.
Its obviously a really personal choice that can only be made by you and ur partner, but many IVF doctors around the world feel now that no one should really be doing 2 embryo transfers. for the simple fact that it really doesn't increase ur chances the way most people think it will, and thats the main reason people do it- bcos they think it has a better chance of giving them a bfp. But the FS and embryologist in this podcast explain why this isnt so. add to that the fact that twin pregnancies are very high risk for both the babies- (being born pre-term with physical or mental disabilities) or for the mothers health too.
the doc in this podcast explains that embryos can actually interfere with each other negatively, which for me is a really good reason NOT to do double transfers. He also basically says that by doing single transfers and 'saving' the others frozen, that you are effectively increasing ur chances of a pregnancy bcos instead of just getting one chance you get two when u do the next transfer....not sure that i can explain that very well, but if u listen to the podcast it makes total sense and the doc's give stats and reasons for all of this.
When Lynn spoke to us at our last appointment discussing the upcoming IVF process, she mentioned putting back one embryo, and actually I was really happy. I had wondered if she might suggest two bcos I'm almost 39, and i didn't know her opinion on the '1 or 2' embryo scenario..... But knowing what I know now, I definitely think one is the best option for us.
Good luck with ur decision ; )

Wow, thank you juniper for all that info. I will definitely find that podcast and listen to it. I have done some reading and yes it does look like more and more ivf specialists are suggesting single embryo transfer.
I'm high risk now because I lost my baby boy at 17 weeks at the end of June from an unexpected rupture of my membrane. Even though testing shows that there was nothing wrong with me at the time, it is now unexplained and a lot more precaution will be put on next time. I know that a twin pregnancy will put more pressure on my uterus and cause complications. My mind is being sensible and saying that I have been through enough heartbreak to just put one in but my heart is saying that after so many many years of trying, twins would complete our longed for family.
I will go find that podcast now and hear what the docs say.
Thank you again, when are you starting injections? I'm waiting for AF, should arrive next week.
