My Daughter is having a little shindig at the park for her birthday on sunday. Its nothing fancy just some finger food for the kids and a play in the playground. I have had a majority of maybes as to whether they people can come.....which is fine being so close to christmas. I just wanted to know what you thought about lolly bags. Is it expected to put toegther lolly bags or not? I just have no idea how many to make or who is coming. Should I make up a heap just in case.....or being thats it is just a lttle gathering at the park can I leave it?

I think saying maybe is really rude - worse than saying yes and not turning up. Saying maybe is like saying 'yeah I will come if I can be bothered and have nothing better to do'. I would not do lollie bags on this occasion, too stressful for you. Maybe just hand out a few lollies at the party?

I wouldn't expect them, and people who teach their children to expect lolly bags are rude and deserve to be dissapointed

I wouldn't because of all the uncertainty. If it were more concrete as to who would be there, then I would.

Just get some clear cellophane and ribbon from one of those cheap shops and a few bags of lollies and just make up enough bags for those that have RSVP yes or maybe. That way doesn't cost much and you have enough just in case.

Maybe just buy a bag of lollipops and hand one out when they leave, cheap and easy
