Default Feeling very down and lonely.

Our situations are different, but I'm feeling really lonely at the moment too. Here are some ideas that you may like one of. You really just need to force yourself to try and get out there, it's hard though I know.

    Playgroup
    Gymbaroo
    Swimming lessons
    Mothers Group
Mini Maestros (or other music classes)
    Storytime at library

Haven't heard of that one but I will look it. Thanks. I'm in north melbourne but am happy to travel to other areas of melbourne too.

I'm planning on booking DD into swimming lessons and gymbaroo for term 1 next year.
We did go to story time at lalor library but it was awful! There were about 50 kids there, they didn't listen to the librarian and parents just let them run around and be super noisy and pull all the books off the shelf. At the end of story time they open the toy library up and mums were just pushing and grabbing, it was disgusting! We actually won tickets to a play through a draw at the library that day and I have wondered if it had anything to do with the fact that DD and I were actually waiting in line and doing the songs and DD knows books need to be treated carefully etc. I asked the librarian if it was always like this and she laughed at me and said "its obviously your first toy library experience I take it".
Perhaps I should try another library in a nearby suburb.

I think I've confused where you're living OP, are you in the suburb North Melbourne or living in the north of Melbourne?

Oh wow! Yes definitely try another library then. At my local, there's only between 10-15 children usually and not like you have described at all!

Sounds great strawberry. I have met with two Hubbers when I first moved but then I had an operation and was recovering and after that another meet up just didn't seem to happen. I'll send you a PM
