    Nope. Feeling empowered would mean I felt I'd achieved something. I didn't achieve anything, the miracle of life did all the work lol.

    I guess I can see how people could feel empowered but for me pregnancy and birth is just a fact of life. I go through both with a pretty matter of fact attitude to the whole concept. It's a biological thing that my body does without any real help from me. It's wonderful and amazing but for me, not really empowering.

    no i felt awful lol.... But holding precious DD for the first time made it all worth it

    Dd2 I felt really good about it and felt it was an amazing experience

    Crap indeed. Time heals though. Surprisingly feel a little less crap about the failed vbac, probably because I tried absolutely everything to make it happen so I haven't been left with all those "what ifs" IYKWIM.

    After a pretty awful birth with ds I was very empowered by my birth with dd. I was on my own for most of it, drug free, did it without my ex-h who told me I couldn't do it and I wouldn't have changed a thing. It reminded me that i'm a strong, awesome woman

    Hugs to you ladies who didn't have the vbac you wanted x
