    Default 2nd birthday ideas!

    Hi everyone!
My dd will be turning 2 on 25/01/2013 and I have no idea what to do!
For her 1st we just invited the entire families around for food and drink (it was too much for me and I won't be having 30+ family over this time!)
I'll be inviting her 4 cousins and their parents, her grandparents, 2 friends and their 2 kids.
    kids ages are; 10, 9, 8, 7, 4, 2 and the birthday girl also gonna be 2!
    Any and all ideas welcome!
    Thanks for reading :-)

    Default 2nd birthday ideas!

Sounds like a similar crowd to my DS 2nd party! I had 3 x 2 year olds, 2 x 1 year olds, 2x8 and 2x10 year olds! Plus about 14 adults

I did a play school theme for cake and decorations and did a "mini" food theme (mini pies, mini tacos, mini pizza, mini burgers, mini sausage rolls)

The bigger kids spent the day in the pool and on sing star and I had a jumping castle, little roller coaster ride, trampoline and all
Of DS bikes out that kept the little kids happy!

Instead of lolly bags for the little kids I bought play school sticker books and finger puppets and for the big kids and adults I had personalised mini chocolates made

I notice you're in Melb and the weather 'should' be good in January. What about the Collingwood Children's Farm? Great for all age kids and they also have BBQ facilities if you wanted to BYO.

    Otherwise an indoor play centre?

It's just a but too far for us to travel.

Indoor play centre sounds good but I can't find a party pack that's not ridiculously overpriced :-(

A party at home would be easiest, January is warm so have it outside, make it easy on yourself and have a BBQ, salads and a cake.

You could make a theme, Rainbow party, princess, fairy, animal themes.

Hire a jumping castle if you have the space, also toy librarys hire larger toys for kids partys.

You could have a petting zoo come to you ?
A fairy or facepainter or magician ?
What about a pony rides ?

Have a treasure hunt for the kids.

    Actually that's the hardest!
We have a 1 bedroom house on a diagonal block lol, the yard is shared with the landlord and it's full of trees.
Might have to ask my mum if I can use her house!
