Default Raspberry leaf and evening primrose

Just thought i would point out that there's no research at all supporting either - and I've spent ages looking!

EPo in particular has nothing to support it - there's a little bit of evidence for rlt, one study found it shortened the pushing stage by I think 10 mins.

Most people will have a better subsequent labour as that's the usual pattern.

Despite the above I'm still taking both!

I drank the tea and took tablets from 32 weeks and in my last week of pregnancy inserted EPO tablets on the Monday and Tuesday I think? I stopped taking them because I got headaches but turns out that was blood pressure related. Went into labour on Thursday night, under 8 hours all up (would've been shorter if the midwife believed me when I said it was time to push) and pushed for 16 minutes! Could be a coincidence but ill definitely do it again if I have another!

You insert 1-2 capsules (epo) as far up your vagina as you can. First you prick a hole into them (with a toothpick or something) and the oil is supposed to help soften your cervix. hehe.

Forgot to add to do it before bedtime and to wear a pad as well.. sometimes it can leak out a bit.

I got it loose from a co-op and tablets from a health food shop. I've never seen it in supermarkets.

I tried to do the EPO capsules but had a reaction to them so i stopped.

I took RLtablets from the beginning of my 3rd trimester. I went into silent labor at 40+9. The pain was an 8/10 and i breathed him out. Labour was 3hrs long (was 'breathing' for 19min. My first labour (i didnt do EPO or RLT) was 22hrs of agonising pain, including 3.5hrs of pushing.

(ETA: i got them from the health food store and i took two every morning)

I 100% believe that the RLtablets made my labour less painful and shorter. I will definitely be taking them with my next baby.
