Crossbred dogs mostly appear to benefit from 'hybrid vigour' and tend to not suffer from the health issues some purebred dogs develop.

To answer the OP ive paid from 0-500

Some of the benefits of a registered breeder are that there are more regulations in place to protect the parent dogs such as how often the female can be bred. Well so I've read anyway!

We paid $2k for our first English Bulldog (due to testicles that hasn't descended. We didn't mind as he was to be desexed anyway) and $3k for our second English Bulldog. Neither are show quality but were still very expensive. Both are from registered breeders. Love them to bits. : )

:O where did you get him? That is super cheap!

I paid $150 for our little girl. She was advertised as a purebred English Staffy when I got there she clearly wasn't but she was covered in fleas, her fur looked like it was moving and was bloated because she had worms so I just couldn't leave her. She looks like a Jack Russell, but brindle. We get so many strange looks and comments

$150 from gumtree for our bull Arab papers and all. She had her first lot of needles and micro chipped.... all we needed to do was get her other needles and desexed :-).

We paid $600 each for our two boxers, but they were the last two of the litter so he dropped the price from $800 for us. I think if you want a quality purebred from a breeder you should be prepared for paying at least $600+ usually closer to $1000.
