We had vinyl floors when
DS started crawling and he was fine, but it was winter too so he had long pants, onsies or baby legs acting as a buffer

yep, my two crawled on timber floors.. nothing happened to them. I didn't bother with any rugs/foam mats or knee pads, no point wrapping them in cotton wool. they'll be right!
