    Default Rest day - Week 5, Day 4 - Blog 52

I had a pretty lazy day today. I did no exercise whatsoever but we did go to the bike shop and get some clip-in pedals and shoes for me for the ride tomorrow. I had pasta for dinner in preparation, carbo-loading! Aside from that, not much to report. I'm a bit nervous about the ride tomorrow but it should be a good test of my fitness!

I went to my husband's aunt's house for waxing today (his cousin does my waxing) and both his aunt and his cousin commented on the fact that I'd lost weight. I was really pleased that they noticed! I still don't see it as much as everyone else seems to be noticing. I'm noticing more of the internal changes to my emotions and fitness.

Those internal changes are the most important I think. With those the external changes will follow automatically.

Good luck for the ride today. Think of us all cheering you on.

Thanks hun! I'm on my way there now! I looked up the results, I did it in 2009 in 3 hours 6 minutes and 20 seconds. So my goal is to beat that.

That sucks. At least you gave it a red hot go. Bloody flat tyres!

Thanks ladies! I've had nothing but trouble with that bike and its tyres, I got a flat tyre the very first time I ever rode the thing!

We're going to get the tyres switched out for better ones and start riding on a Saturday morning around the river. I'm aiming to do the Freeway Bike Hike in March, it's only 30kms, though.
