    Default Flat spots

So I know your suppose to make sure your baby has equal time on their alternate sides of their head so they don't get a flat spot but what do you do if you put them down with one side on the bed and they keep moving in their sleep?

Do I need to worry and intervene?

DS is 4 weeks old now.

Our paed recommended a sleep positioner as our DD had quite an obvious flat spot. We now sleep her on the other side.

I probably wouldn't do that without dr's approval, though, due to the SIDS guidelines.

We were advised by the paed that if baby prefers one side to gently move bubs head to the other side every 5-10 mins whilst you are awake for 3 days and they should no longer have the preference. We did it although I'm not sure if that worked on its own as we also saw an Oesteopath who loosened her neck. You can also buy the special pillows which I will do for next baby.
