    Is he in his union? He might need some advice from them. Sounds like a sucky situation There's nothing stopping him from saying he's leaving at 6 pm, they cannot sack him fairly for that

    I think if they started losing clients they would hire more staff pretty swiftly! You guys shouldn't have to miss out on so much family time for such a small wage. That is just insanity. It really sounds as though everyone else feels they can up and leave because they know he will stay there. I would be interested to know whether they would stay back if he left on time?

    he really does need to join his union, before things escalate. They won't be in a position to help out a non-member if things start getting worse, he needs to join like yesterday!

    You poor thing that sounds horrible!

    Surely he could even call worksafe or something similar? working those kinds of hours is just ridiculous!! It cannot be good for his mental health. Not to mention its obviously impacting his family too.

    I am so sorry you're in this situation
