Our IUI was cancelled on Fri due 2 having 4 follies.2 r 14 & 15 & the other 2 r 19 & 18.Dr has told us not 2 BD until i get my next AF but we decided we would still try anyway. Is this a silly choice or have other ppl felt the same as us? We werent given the trigger shot or anything & we know that we may not get preg but we werent goin 2 b left wondering. We did do 6 cycles of Clomid last yr & early this yr b4 we moved onto Gonal f injection with IUI,so we have spoken about having multiples & would b more than happy about it.
Please tell me wat ur thoughts r & if some1 has done the same as us id like to hear ur story

Sorry but I think what you did was very irresponsible. I do hope you don't get pregnant with quads or more and find out how risky that sort of pregnancy is. For every story you read in the paper about couples having quads etc there are many others where the story ends very sadly with miscarriages, stillbirths and complications of severe prematurity.
Sorry for being blunt.

Re: Cancelled IUI
We did a similar thing. We had 3 follies all a good size and our iui was cancelled. Yes it is irresponsible and I of all people should know better, I work with prem babies. But after years of trying we figured it probably wouldnt work anyway and it didn't. Whats done is done, so don't beat yourself up.
Good luck and I wish u a healthy pregnancy soon

I guess it's one of those situations where you might have one opinion until it actually happens - I have to be honest and say that I really don't know what we would do. You don't know if all 4 will mature, but then again the risk is always there. Hoping that the outcome is one that you are both happy with, and that keeps everyone healthy.

I've read the success rate of IUI is 10-12%.
