    If you have to explain how to pronounce a name, please don't use it for your child's sake.

    Our baby girl is going to be Honey Kathleen/Kitty as this is what we called my aunt before she passed

    I worked with somebody called Zandalee which I thought was a beautiful name. I thought that was slightly unusual, not something I had ever heard before

    People can also be quite stupid though. Our daughter's name is spelled 'correctly', but because it's not phonetic people get it wrong all the time. Drives me bonkers, but we refused to dumb it down.

    We always have to pronounce our daughters name for people and tell people how to spell it
