This freaked me out for a moment, my birthday is Boxing Day and mums birthday is mid-march, I checked out a due date calculator and, as I was late, conception would have been right at the end of march or early April, so I'm not a birthday baby lol.

Totally in love with our two beautiful little girls.

We drive around looking at all the lights. I’ll watch all my favourite Christmas movies on the lead up to Christmas and on Christmas Eve we’ll have a sherry and watch a Christmas movie before bed. First thing Christmas morning is a glass of sherry and a mince pie (homemade) while we open presents.

I had little bubs October of last year and we went to the West End Brewery Riverbank Christmas Light Display http://www.weekendnotes.com/west-end...ights-display/ opposite the Entertainment Centre in Adelaide. I’ll think we’ll do that every year now marking a new tradition. It was magical.

I’ll also read her Twas the Night Before Christmas when I put her to bed every Christmas Eve also marking a new tradition.

    I love that, @amyd
It's not something I even though of as far as family tradition, but I do always buy a gift to put under the wishing tree.
I think it's a great idea to teach your children to GIVE at christmas time, rather than just ask and ask and ask and would love to do this with my future kiddies!

We always stay at the beach with family. Christmas Eve we walk around to see the Christmas lights and go for a walk on the beach. We have sparklers and take away Christmas Eve. We also leave out food and a drink of milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. Often we also makea ginger bread house or buy a kit to put together. And we wake up early open presents and give gifts to each other.

We will be baking cookies for Santa on Christmas Eve then go looking at Christmas lights and come home and watch a movie.

This year we will also be taking some pet food and toys down to the local animal shelter a few weeks before Christmas.

We put the xmas lights up on the 1st (tree goes up after DS's birthday, 16th). We bake cookies for santa and every year we pick out ONE new xmas ornament for the tree. Our tree is already telling a story. We have 2 turtledoves from DH's and mine first xmas, We have the kids first ornaments and the other ones remind me what the kids loved at that time (age).

    I love it.

This will be our first Christmas with DS getting it. I'm so frigging excited!! We're going to melbourne for DS appt at RCH in December and have decided to stay for a few days, so we'll get a Santa photo and Christmas ornaments at djs and check out the windows in Bourke st mall. I'm so making gingerbread something, driving around Christmas Eve to see the lights and reading the Night Before Christmas.

Having DS has brought back the magic of Christmas
