Hi, im in SA. I was speaking to my sil on the weekend about this and she is a child care worker in a child care centre here. She said the centre has a "kindy" but she said its not a proper kindy, that they arent trained kindegarten teachers and she tells parents to put their kids into a proper kindegarten.

This of course is just one child care centre (good start - formally abc) so dont know if they are all the same but thought id warn you. I trust what she says. Shes great at her job and a fantastic mum

Ah ok im pretty sure it was for the 2+ year olds. Cause she is in the 0-2 baby section of the centre. She said they call it a kindy ( or kindy program) but its not really.

My DD doesnt go to cc so i dont know too much more than that sorry
