    Default Re: Age for mammogram.

Hiya. I couldnt read and run.
I was 25 when diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. I had no family history.
If worried, check out the breast clinic or cancer council in your state (i am in WA) and get a gp referral to a breast physician. They can monitor you with manual checks, MRI is expensive but effective as surveillance in young women, and ultrasound as well as mammogram. A good website with a breast nurse available to answer any questions is www.breastcancerclick.com.au which may be of use for support for both yourself and relatives.
I hope this helps, any questions feel free to msg me. I must add I am 33 now and Cancer free :-)

    Default Age for mammogram.

I'm 29 and have two daughters (one and two year olds) I have been fighting breast cancer for the past 3 months.

You are never to young to be checked!
