    Hi Tantom,
oh goodness, I must have it really wrong! I was under the impression that it was around $1300 or so, but perhaps this is out of pocket ($5000 upfront?). I probably should just give them a call them a call anyways.
What I was meaning by "light"IVF was the fact they use fewer drugs to get less eggs, and use sedation rather then GA for EPU.

    thanks for clarifying!

    Hi,
They do use lower dose drugs so fewer eggs, but do use GA for egg pick up , yeah it worked out our first round will be $3200 out of pocket
    have a good day

    Hello Ladies,
Hope you are all doing well.
The second cycle comes out to only be $600 out of pocket so really nice surprise!!
Our first cycle failed because none of our eggs fertilized. Grrr!! It's a 1 in 2000 chances. Was really devastated but we have now picked ourselves up and are ready to cycle again. This time we will use ICSI for extra help and cross all of our toes and fingers that the little ones fertilize this time.
So I'll be injecting in the next 2 weeks again. Anyone else cycling around the same time? We have a scheduled estimated egg pick up around the 19th of March. So happy we can try again.
The clinic has been so amazingly suportive and professional! We have felt really cared for and loved.
Let us know if you need any help at all with anything.
I am crossing everything for you ladies

    Hi Hoping41more,
nothing happening at the moment. Had a meet and greet with the nurses at AIVF and have asked my previouse Doctor to forward all test results etc to AIVF, however, he only sent a summary. So now I'm waiting on AIVF to let me know if I need to go back and have more blood tests done etc etc. Bit disappointing. I'm hoping that AIVF have moved to Nambour by the time we start. It would be much closer for us to travel to. What's happeing with you? Have you started a cycle?

    Hello Ladies,
Just had our second round of IVF and we transfered a little 8 cells grade 1 embryo today.
Feeling very blessed to be at this stage but also a little overwhelmed. But ohhh so happy. Now the 2 ww starts for us so look out for the crazy lady
Hope you are all well. Hoping 41more what are u up to at the moment?
Joschi, I hope your paper works gets sorted soon and you can start your journee. AIVF are sure the right people to do it with.

Yay Nanou, how awesome to have a nice healthy embryo on board.
I will have everything crossed for you that this is a super sticky one and at the end of the 2ww you get your much deserved BFP.

As for us, we will have our first appointment in July, but will go to TFC in Springwood as it still works out cheaper for us to go there.

That's fantastic Nanou, I wish the little tacker sticks on tight and grows and makes you happy. I found the paperwork for them, but we still have to do a CF test as the previouse FS didn't do one. So we are due back at AIVF Friday week.
You have passed one week of waiting, I'm sure the 2nd week will be even longer but you can do it, cause it'll turn out A OK for you two/three.
Hopefully we can start our 3rd IVF cycle in May, I have lots of sick leave and long service leave so will be making good use of it.
Take good care everyone, and happy growing
