Default Sex to bring on labour before 40 weeks

Did you have sex daily for about a month and when did you go into labour? I know a lot of people have sex at the very end of their pregnancy or once their due date passes, with varying success. However, I want to hear from those who tried it much earlier than that.

A midwife at our antenatal class last pregnancy told us to have sex daily from 36 weeks if we didn't want to be overdue. We did this and our little man came 10 days early. We are hoping for a similar outcome this time but am shocked to hear that it didn't work for a friend of ours who still had to be induced.

I've been doing it daily for the last week (3 times yesterday and Oing!), using EPO vaginally and lots of walking.

Hoping it happens soon so I can get my VBAC! Everyone keeps telling me to just have sex and I just reply with "Trust me, we ARE." Lol.
    Also I'm 38 weeks today.

We weren't doing it daily but once I was 37 weeks DH got jumped a fair bit. DS arrived at 38+3. Not sure if I will do the same next time, I started bleeding at 38+2 which might have been due to our final pre-baby romp.

yep babies only come when they're ready and your body is ready, but sex is a GREAT way to prepare your body for labour. We DTD daily in the lead up to my daughters due date. Every night before bed. The more semen and the longer is stays in there the better. It ripens the cervix. Also orgasm contracts the uterus and can bring on contractions, or at least begin preparing the body for them. Also orgasm pulls the semen up higher and ripens the cervix more. My daughter was born at 40+2 so it didn't bring her on early at all, but when I went to my ob the morning she was born, my cervix was already completely softened and I was already 3cm dialted before my contractions had even begun. Once they did begin she was born 4 hours later

If only, nope if they're stubborn they stay in there as long as they want to or get a nudge along. Purely coincidental.

Wasn't every day but I went at 40 weeks, 40+10 (induced with the gel) 40+9 and 40+13.

ETA: I was 4cm dilated for weeks with both #3 and #4. my labour with my third was 1hr 15mins was only that long because she got stuck. My #4 took her time she was 15hr labour, also got stuck but in a different way.
