    Default Single parent payments and study

    Hi everyone, okay so here's my question, iv been studying
    since July and I finish in a few weeks, and iv just found out
    that I could of been getting study payments from centrelink
    noone had told me this b4, has this happened to any one b4? Do u think they
    wwould back pay me? Lol or maybe I'm dreaming

    I don't know if they would back-pay you. I don't think so... BUT you could call and ask. Is this for the JET payments?

    I get JET already, it's a study allowance what somone has told me is it's an extra approx $60 a fortnight or something in addition to my pension, I'm not sure though

    I used to get this. I think they will only back pay you so many weeks... might be 4 or 6. Its a Education Supplement of $62.40 per fortnight and a one off enrollment payment of $208.

    I would definitely call and enquire about back payments.

    If you are receiving JET, it may be different. I wasn't eligible so not sure of the difference, if any, that makes.

    I use to get this, and JET for a period of time. It is possible to get both at the same time.
    I'm fairly certain they will only back pay to the date you filed the application.

    That really sucks.
