Default Advice please on making this happen...

    Hi everyone,
Firstly I am in Qld so as far as I'm aware it's illegal to advertise for surrogacy? What I want to know is, say I was interested in being a surrogate, where would I go to find a potential couple who needed me? Do you go to fertility clinics?? Also one other question, I have done a lot of research into surrogacy but can't seem to find much on impact on children. Meaning how would one explain to a 3 year old that a baby isn't there's to keep and would it affect them negatively at that age? Sorry for bland post...I'm on iPad. Thank you

First of all I'd just like to say that this is an absolutely amazing gift that you're contemplating giving to someone. Secondly, I've absolutely no idea where to start with something like this so I really couldn't give you any information. I have read that some people have found surrogates through this forum but I believe there are other connection websites out there also.

But good luck! You are so kind.

Hi there. There are lots of places to look to do surrogacy. If you are on facebook check out the surrogacy Australia page. Also there is a new site you can find here www.fertilityconnections.com.au I have been a surrogate twice and am from Brisbane. I found both my IP's on the Internet and I have to say being a surrogate is one of the best things I have done in my life. Good on you for considering doing this!

Hi there. Well done on thinking about becoming a surrogate. I have Bernard surrogate twice before and am from Brisbane. It's an amazing experience. Both my IP's were strangers to me when I met them to discuss surrogacy. Online is one of the main places surrogates find their IP's so keep an eye out here and check out the surrogacy Australia Facebook page as well as fertility connections www.fertilityconnections.com.au Good luck!!

    Hi PayItForward

I am new on here and have just read your post. I am a 31 year old female also living in Qld in the Gold Coast/Brisbane area. I am aware that it is illegal to advertise for a surrogate, however I am interested in connecting and talking with others about surrogacy. If you are interested in having a conversation please let me know and we could connect through email :-)
