Wow, thanks Lara and Yinyang, very inspirational!

I will be doing another stim starting mid-late January, and FS is changing my drug protocol slightly again. So I'll just have to wait and see what happens...

I came back here to re-read the responses to my OP again, because the same thing happened with my latest stim and I needed some reassurance. This time we got 7 eggs, 6 mature and ICSI'd, but once again only 2 fertilised. The lab told me that another 2 showed "signs of partial fertilisation", so they will keep watching those ones, but aren't expecting them to progress. SO over this whole process right now. And more worried than ever before about my egg quality...

I had icsi got 7 eggs and only two fertilized which was extremely dissapointing though I was so nervous if they would make it. They were going to transfer at 3 days but when taken out at 3 days were happy with progress. At day 5 I had two at hatching stage was lucky to get one transferred and one frozen. Was very lucky as due to a drop off of losing 5 the day after EPU u was worried i wouldn't get any now have 7 days to go to testing. It's really not fair and wish we girls didn't have to go through all this, so annoys me all those people that can have children so easily or the ones that don't even look after them. Least we will really appreciate it when it does happen

Default Success with low fert. rates using ICSI?

It's tough. We had 10 eggs collected and 1 fertilize. I was devastated. It kept dividing and growing and at day 3 it was transferred. That one embryo is my 20 month old toddler. My second cycle I had 4x day 5 embys and all resulted in bfn.

It only takes one, but which one will be determined by how many times you can front up and cycle. Good luck,

Over 7 cycles i have had about 64 eggs collected and only 4 embryos to transfer in total. I have obvious egg quality issues and DH sperm are very low and slow.

On our last cycle I had 19 eggs collected, out of that only 3 fertilized and two made it to day 5 (they were both morulas). We transferred both. One of those precious embryos took and I am now 22+5 weeks PG with our miracle baby!

I am very interested in this thread also as I had a terrible fertilisation rate my first round of ICSI, just one out of 7 mature eggs fertilised, almost dropped the phone when i got that call! I've read a little about Saizen being used in cases of poor egg quality and noticed Abubby had used it. Can you tell us about your experience with Saizen Abubby please? When did the FS start you on it? Is it expensive? How many cycles were you on it for? Sariele - I hope you are doing ok, you are still in the game hun and there are some wonderful success stories on this thread
