    Default car seats.

DS is 16 weeks and off the charts in length and is 8.2kg. We hired a capsule for 6 months and have a forward facing car seat that can be used from 6 months. we have a very small car and the capsule is getting too small (it goes to 9kg). so now Im not sure what to do. the capsule just fits in the car.

Ideas??? cant really afford a new car

    Default car seats.

We have a small car aswell & got the safe & sound compaq which is specifically designed for small cars. It's rear facing & then can change to forward facing for bub up to 4 years of age from memory. We got it on sale for $399 at our local baby store.

Our DS is off the charts too - 9.8 kilos at 5.5 months.

We've got a small car that our maxi cosi capsule only just fitted into, but that I absolutely 'needed' as part of my travel system. We bought the Safe n Sound tilt and adjust when he was 4 months and 9 kilos and it fits rear facing fine.

We also looked at the compaq, but preferred the ease of adjusting the straps on the tilt and adjust seat because DS won't stop growing and I personally hate having to move the seat out to adjust the seat belts.

I'd go to a baby shop and test which one fits best - they're generally happy to let you do this.

    Default car seats.

Our Compaq has a button at the front that u can hold to extend the straps so there is no worry about having to reach into awkward spots to change it :-)
