    Default Homemade sausage rolls

Hi all. I want to make DD (15mo) some homemade sausage rolls. I'm fine with the filling, but I'm hopeless with pastry. What kind do I buy? How many sheets do I use? Do I roll it a few times or just fold over once?

I use frozen puff pastry, and just one layer rolled around is enough.

If you're buying pastry the normal puff pastry should be fine. Fill a sheet, roll it once and cut just after the folds meet, brush with egg and cut it into smaller rolls. Put sesame seeds on top if you like.. yummo!

I use puff pastry, 1 sheet (it's thick) and only 1 layer with a bit of overlap at the bottom. Then an egg/milk wash when I pop them in the oven

I use frozen puff pastry sheets too. I cut each sheet into 4 squares. One square for each roll.

No worries! I'm going to use chicken mince with grated veggies and a little onion and pepper. Maybe some corn if i have some. Just simple really.

Throw the veg in a food processor and the meat in for the last min or so. Add any herbs and spices you like. I do mixed herbs, season all and garlic. Cut your pastry in half, make your roll and cut in three. Cook in med/hot oven turning once. They are always a bit hit in our house
