I think the orginal ghd's are far better than the newer ones for some reason. Mine is going on 11 years and still perfect were as friends have got the purple and black gloss version(not 100% on names) and they both died... the only other one ive used is the halo and its not great.

I had a GHD for 8 years and never had an issue until my sister stepped on it and broke it I have no doubt it would have lasted another 8 years I've since brought a new one

Silver bullet hands down for my extremely frizzy curly mop!

When I was trying to decide between them the hair dresser straightened half my head with the Silver Bullet & the other half with an original GHD. The difference was amazing, I wasn't expecting that at all. So picked the Silver Bullet and it is still going strong 10yrs later (I kid you not & it's used daily).

If you are trying to decide maybe go to a hair salon that sells both and have them straighten your hair with both so you can see how each will work on your hair type.

I love my GHD. My daughter has curly hair which straightens fabulously and my hair is straight yet it's thick and l love the sleek look. It's great. My mum gave it to me this year.

Before that l had a cheapo that did took ages.

Cloud 9 are the new venture of the person who created the original ghd I think. That's what I'll be upgrading to.
