The University of Queensland is surveying Queensland parents and caregivers of children with a disability aged between 2 and 10. Go to www.mysay.org.au to tell us about your experience. The survey is also for Queensland professionals who work with children with disabilities in this age group. The survey is part of a five-year project which will provide parents and caregivers of children with disabilities in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales with free parenting support through Triple P's Stepping Stones program. Under the project, professionals such as teachers, counsellors, community health workers, child health nurses and other staff who work with children with disabilities can apply for free Stepping Stones training. The project is being rolled out in Queensland in 2013, followed by Victoria in early 2014 and New South Wales in 2015.
But first we need 2000 Queenslanders to fill in our survey! Please go to www.mysay.org.au and tell us what it's like to parent a child with a disability. Your feedback will help us plan the roll-out of free parenting support and professional training in 2013. Love to hear your views.
